For over 50 years Purden has been where Prince George learns to ski. Two Mueller double chairlifts, virtually no line-ups, and 26 named runs from mellow greens to steep treed blacks — the longest, Lakeview, rolls on for more than two miles.

An easy day trip
Take the Yellowhead east, follow the marked turnoff, and you're in the parking lot 4 km later. From McBride it's 145 km west. Skis on by 9:30.
